Simbu’s latest film, ‘Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadhu,’ is now in production under Thiruchendur, Tamil Nadu. Simbu and Radhika Sarathkumar in an almost schoolboyish young look went viral. Because Jeyamohan is the film’s writer, there has been speculation on social media that the subject will be similar to Jeyamohan’s most recent film, ‘Asuran,’ directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Dhanush.
Gautham Menon originally wanted to direct a soft urban romantic film called ‘Nadhigalile Neeradum Sooryan,’ according to Jeyamohan, but as the new idea surfaced, he put the project to the future. The crew subsequently agreed on a new tale, which was given the title ‘Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu.’
Simbu slimmed down even more for the role in ‘Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu,’ according to Jeyamohan, and he fits wonderfully into an intense role. Though there is a big sequence set in a village, he refuted rumours that it is a village topic like ‘Asuran’ and ‘Karnan.’ He prefers to refer to it as a rustic thriller with Gautham Menon’s strong distinctive touch, promising that it will be unlike any other film.
